Pros: Takes filters. 16 is wide enough for me. Sharp. Use 35mm alot so this is on the camera.
Cons:
Not as quite as sharp as my 14-24

I have had this lens since it was released. I am very pleased with it. It is very close in sharpness to the 14-24mm and with the ability to take filters and the range to 35mm it is on my d700 alot. The vr does help some so the f4 hurts less. The size makes it my go to travel lens and I find I shoot at 5.6 to f11 alot for depth and it shines here. I still have the 14-24 but often ask myself why. Nikon has two winners in the wide zoom range here and the choice is hard but for me if just one this would be it.

Pros: Improved noise I can shoot at 1000 with the aide of noise ninja and good handling. I added the grip for more battery power. Nice color and a good job of auto white balance the one thing that my d1x does not do well. A nice large file. Great for jpegs and raw. I shoot in BW mode alot set on raw size and get a BW preveiw on the screen and the nice raw to convert to get my black and white. Nice mirror up for macro or tele work. A good package at a ,arketsetting price. If it holds up well I will be happy with it for many years.
Cons:
Uses battery quickly you will need extra batts. Still needs noise reduction over 800 and at high iso exposure is critical.

Pros: Very sharp an has gone a long way to replace my large format film camera. I think it allows some real neat effects in some instances. I wish they had a 20mm shift for my digitals. Great lens that you will not regret owning.
Cons:
Not the fastest to use but it will reward you.....

The close up king for flowers. Moving insects only so so as you alsways want to tweak it a bit and the darn subjects keep moving. For static stuuf hard to beat. Will allow some neat tricks.

Pros: Very good resolution for 4.2 megapix. Fast handling and great prices now a newer model is out. I can print large prints on my Epson 4800 16*22 and am very happy with the results from Raw. From jpeg not as good but not awful at this size either. I do Black and White this size also with good results.
Cons:
For the price I paid none.

Pros: Very nice lens. Sharp and VR works well. Has become my main lens.
Cons:
Think the build quality may not be true pro level.

Pros: very sharp if you do not need a 2.8 buy it you will like it. I carry a 24-120 nikon vr this and a 12-24 and am very happy with the range and results. If you neeed closer focus look at a canon 2 elelment close up lens and you have a mean picture machine that goes as big as my 4800 will print easily.
Cons:
