For the money I paid for the lens, you really cant beat it. You can use it for so many things. A low light concert, no problems, natural light portrait...easy, Landscapes, bring it on
It really is a top class all round lens and I never take my camera out with out it. It is quite light, but this makes it a joy to carry round on my D200 all day.
Every Nikon shooter should own one of these!
