nice build quality(not an"L") but solid and using theTamron-F 1.4x MC4 1.4x TC with this lens works pretty well in good light (bright daylight). Not as noisy as some have reported.
Cons:
front barrel rotates, the lens gets longer if you focus close in, so if you want to shorten the lens all the way to put it in a bag, you have to switch it to manual and use the focus ring, or find something close in to focus on.
