Pros: SHARPPPPP, Internal zoom and focus, FTM Focus, surprisingly light weight, un believeable price for a Canon L Lens.
Cons:
Cant think of any! no seriously, cant think of any!

I bought this second hand at $480 with UV Filter (rather the filter get dirty than the lens). This is a crazy sharp lens, even wide open! Try some macro shots with this and you will be pleasantly surprised at the image quality. Smooth OOF blur and excellent colors. definitely will recommend a tripod (with mount) for low light, or go for the IS version (can benefit upto 3 stops).
Best Canon L Lens deal! With this lens, you absolutely cannot go wrong. Very very Highly recommended!

Pros: Wonderful bokeh, fast under low light, glass buried deep inside so no flare issues, excellent portrait, awesome price
Cons:
Cant really think of any

Exceptional OOF blur and the lens is very sharp (although not as much as its cousin 17-50 tamron). The details within focus is excellent. Build quality is solid, without exceptional. Does not come with a tripod mount (I dont think it is required) like the picture illustrated here (in fact I think this is a picture of Tamron 200-500). It has focus limiter if needed. Excellent macro lens all-in-all and very highly recommended. A difference of just 4cm reach when compared to Sigma 150mm (which I feel is quite insignificant).

Pros: Razor Sharp images! Cant beat the price to image quality ratio. Solid build. Reasonably fast.
Cons:
Even with f/2.8, will occasionally search in low light (when using AF). Really noisy AF

Probably the best, or definitely one of the best cost to quality ratio when it comes to affordable fast lens. The image quality on this lens in unbelievable. On bright sunny day when used for capturing threads of waterfalls, and using a really low aperture setting, diffraction is not an issue at all! Comes without the IS, but for this price you cannot hope for one. Use a tripod and you are quite ok for longer shutters. Solid build quality and the lens feels about right in your hands. Does not make the D-SLR front heavy (and I have a really light small one). All in all a perfect walkaround lens and an excellent alternative to the more pricier canon/nikon options. Just leanr to live with the noisy AF.
