This was my first "L lens" and am very satisfied
with the overall image quality and color presentation. A bit on the heavy side but that is the penalty for a 10X performer. Comes with a great lens hood and removable tripod collar.
Improvement needed: Optical stabilizer and rotate
zoom control instead of push pull. The USM AF is very fast and accurate. This is my streetsweeper glass and will stay in my bag for long time! It is used with my 1D.
