distortion is annoying, but correctable, no USM makes for a loud auto focus

I got purchased a used fisheye from a local professional that switched over to Nikon. I must say, this is exactly what I was looking for. Ultra wide on full frame, incredibly sharp. I mean INCREDIBLY sharp, great contrast and colors also.
I took a shot in a warehouse, and when I got back home it totally blew me away how amazing this little lens is.
I would highly recomend this lens.
I certainly do not regret the decision to purchase this over the 14mm 2.8 II. At roughly 1/3 the price, this gets me everything I would have used the 14mm for.

I had this lens for about 8 months. I used it about 10-15% of the time. At the time, I thought this was too little to have $1500 tied up so I sold it.
It wasn't too long before I started searching all the buy/sell forums for a 70-200 f2.8L IS. I even called the guy that bought mine and offered to pay more.
This lens.. may be used rarely has no equal in my opinion.
Indoor sports, concerts/stage performance is where this lens will shine the most. Weddings and candid is also very good although it's a little intimidating when you point this at guests at a wedding .
If there is only one lens you can buy, then consider something in the 24-70mm, but your next purchase should be this one!!

Most reviews on here are very true, and I don't have much new to add. This is one magnificient piece (pieces) of glass. You already knew that..
Reason I am even posting is to tell all those non-pro types out there that the speed of focusing is not as bad people are saying. I was expecting macro style slowness... The speed is pretty good although not as fast as my 70-200 2.8 IS or 24-70 2.8.
If speed of focusing is what's holding you back, please go into your local camera store or get one off a friend and try it.
