AF is VERY loud and slow. feels very 'plasticky' but hey, for the weight i can't complain.

My first macro lens and I am VERY happy with it. The only problem I have is the loud and slow AF. The handy AF/MF switch helps though. Just take it as best as you can in MF, then switch to AF and let it fine tune the shot. It's a GREAT lens and I'm so happy I bought it.

Pros:

Cons:

I actually traded in the Canon 24-70 f/2.8L for this lens and I am so glad I did. Less than a third of the price for a lens that has a sharper AF. The only major drawback for me is the annoyingly loud AF.

Excellent lens. I picked it up about two weeks ago (used) and have since shot about 800 images. I never want to put it down! This has quickly become my favorite all-purpose lens. I don't think I've taken it off my camera since I've gotten it (except for cleaning purposes). Highly reccommended.
