well i first got this lens after reading several reviews and seeing it in action afew times. I mainly bought it for events and model shoots (controlled)
To say i was underwhelmed at first would be an understatement, bu the range and build were perfect for the conditions i shoot in.
Many a time, i find the lens to be great for portraits through to landscapes and i really cant fault it, but usually when i have a bright BG, vignetting is visible on the top end (ie top right and top left corners)
Colour, sharpness & IQ are beatiful and if it wasnt for the vignetting and the high price (for an F4) it would have recieved full marks.
Its my favourite lens next to the 70-200 L IS 2.8
