This would have to be the best investment I have made in my Photography in several years

I bought the 5Dmk2 together with the 24-105 L as a kit, just because I saved $400 on the deal.
I have had several digital cameras in the last few years including Nikon D70s, then I changed to Canon and have both a 40D and a 50D in addition to the 5Dmk2.
In together with my colection of L Glass this camera produces results that are nothing short of spectacular. I use my cameras for Weddings, Portraits, Product Shots and various commercial Photo shoots.
The lack of noise and low light results leave anything short of medium format digital far behind.

Pros:

I have found the camera to be great, so far I have found no problems or error messages.

Cons:

Non, I've come across so far, though it would be good to get a screen protector with the camera, as Nikon does.

I needed a second camera so rather than getting another 40D or waiting for stock of the 5Dmk2 to arrive, I bought the 50D. So far after about 300 shots I love it.
I have had no problems or error messages as described in other reviews (touch wood). I use a grip on both my bodies and find that my long L lenses balance well, even though I have small hands.
The thing that impresses most of the other Photog's I have shown the camera to is the screen resolution.
Initially I had a few problems navigating the menus, however, when all else fails read the manual.
The photographs particularly in raw when I managed to get camera raw 4.6 from adobe, are nothing short of brilliant.
If the 50D is this much of an upgrade I can't wait to get my hands on a 5Dmk2, I want the full frame body as well.

Brilliant camera I changed from Nikon to get this camera, my reaction the first time I tried one, "I Gotta get me one of these"

Apart from needing to rebuy all new canon L lenses to replace my Nikon ones, NON

I changed form using Nikon digital cameras to the 40D after trying one, I have abolutly no regrets even taking in to account needing to buy all new lenses.
PS I still have my old canon Film cameras canon A1 35mm 1981 Vintage still working perfectly if the Digital does half as well I will be very satisfied
