This is an increasingly sharp lens. I was worried about purchasing anything other than a Canon L lens but with canon's 50mm L costing over $1500, I decided to order the Sigma from my ocal camera store where I can return it with 30 days, no questions asked. I few shots and I was sold ; even at 1.4 the pictures look great. Very pleased.
