this is a fantastic Lens. this Lens LIVES on my camera for most of my shooting when I'm not working (Kids Sports). I have shot some great candid portraits with this lens. Nice Bokeh and GREAT DOF. there should be one of these in EVERY camera bag.

:This is A GREAT Lens! Iborrowed this from afriend of mine and will be buying one soon (after I recover from my 70-200 2.8 L purchase) I have an all dog (lab mix) and I shot about 20 exp of him in a dim lit room at 1.8 and I can not believe the detail this lens pulled. The fur detail was amazing opposed to the usual black blob i get when I shoot him. This lens is well worth the price, and will have a happy home in my bag soon!

this is a great lens for the price. I recently upgraded to the 70-200 2.8 L because I shoot a lot of kids sports and this lens wasn't cutting it at the night games. If you can use aflash under low light conditions this is a great lens, if you are shooting in plenty of sunlight this is a great lens.
Ok, so this is a great lens!
PS. Mine will be on ebay shortly.

I love this Lens! I just upgraded this from the 70-200 f4, because the f4 wasn't cutting it in the low light of night baseball games. (I shoot a lot of kids sports)
I just took a walk in the wildlife reserve on my lunch hour and am so stoked about this lens. I'll be selling the 70-200 f4 on ebay shortly.
If you are doing action photos and don't need the IS. Save yourself the extra $700. and pick this up! The 70-200 f4L
is great also under bright conditions. If you plan on shooting in bright conditions you can save yourself another $600. and get the f4. (or look for mine on ebay in the next week or so)
