I guess I was one of the unlucky ones and I am quite disappointed in this lens. If I am focusing on an eye and the red light shows it's in focus and I open the pictures on my computer - looks soft!
Even at f5.6 , or 4.5. And yet some of the photos show a little bit of sharpness, it just seem random. And that's why I am giving this lens such a low rating. Consistancy is everything. I still recommend it because of it's price and if some people are willing to play the " I might get a good copy " game.
I am not sure what to do with this lens yet, send it back to B&H or just suck it up and see if USM can fix the issues. SIGH.
