a bit unforgiving wide open (this is not really anything against the lens itself, just against physics!)

After reading the reviews and viewing photos taken with this lens here on FM and elsewhere, I had very high expectations for this lens. Those expectations have been consistently exceeded every time I use it. Incredible lens; recommended without hesitation.
My primary uses of this lens are portraiture, cycling, and dance, shooting mainly with 1D2N. Haven't pulled out my 70-200/2.8 much since getting this lens, and I don't miss it.
