Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II

Review Date: Oct 24, 2009 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 10

Pros: Build Quality, Sharpness, Rectilinear

I have the TSE 17mm and now the 24mm Series II, I prefer the 17mm, but the 24 sure comes a close second. Sharpness is fantastic, so is the contrast. Thanks again Canon for a gem.

Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L

Review Date: Oct 10, 2009 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 10

Pros: Sharpness, rectilinear, flare control is good without hood, build quality, good contrast and colour, big shift movements.
No lenshood.

This lens is just so sharp and straight. I rate it with the Schneider 90mm XL and my Rodenstock 90mm Grandagon. Thank you Canon worth every dollar paid.

Sigma 12-24mm f4.5-5.6 EX DG Aspherical HSM

Review Date: Oct 15, 2007 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $1,000.00 | Rating: 9

Pros: Low barrel distortion for such a wide lens, good construction.
Bulbous front element, cannot put filters on the front.

I was using this lens on my 20 and 30D's and was continually getting really soft images on the right hand side of the image. I now use it on my 5D and I am getting completely sharp images from corner to corner. I think it has an issue with crop sensor cameras! The lens is fantastic for tight architectural uses at 12mm.
