Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM

Review Date: May 7, 2006 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $314.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: small, sharp, fast focusing
had to buy the hood separate, but, with Canon unless it's an L, ya gotta...

Got this for low light work, had some troubles with other off brand lenses and went for the longer 50mm, love it, recommend it highly, fairly sharp at f1.4, very sharp stopped down from there, as you would expect.

Colour seems spot on, not much in the way of post processing with this lens, images are pretty much the same as how you see them in life.

If you've dragged your feet, as I had, then time to pickup the pace and grab one.

Sigma 150mm f2.8 APO Macro DG EX HSM

Review Date: Jan 22, 2006 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 10

Pros: Sharp, focuses fast and accurately
None so far

My first Sigma lens, as a lot of folks have stated, it's a risk or seemed to be to get a lens not made by Canon, but after reading rave reviews and wanting a lens in this focal range I took the plunge and very glad to have done so.
I can't add much more to what everyone else above have stated, so I'll keep it short, if you need a very good macro lens, grab this one!

Canon EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM

Review Date: Jun 5, 2005 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $650.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Medium weight, black in colour, sharpness wide open
Long hood, but works well, so not much of a negative

My first L lens! Excellent quality and resolution for this lens.
A bit long for indoors but that's to be expected.
Used on my 20D
