Review Date: Jan 30, 2009 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $74.00 | Rating: 9

Pros: Sharp and cheap
Cons:
Nothin g for the price I paid!

I know all the arguments about this lens. It is plastic, it's focus is to slow, or the auto focus hunts, it has a plastic mount ond so on. But so what. The lens is SHARP and has and f 1.8 so how can anyone complain about this lens. I know if you drop it , it is going to break. But shouldn't you be careful not to drop any of your equipment. The best thing is, if you do drop it you can buy another for $74. It is a great lens for the price. BUY ONE!

Pros: Price-sharp-great in low light
Cons:
build

I purchased this lens to take me back to the old days when all I used on my Canan AE-1 was a 50mm and a 28mm. I didn't expect much for the price, but was I surprised. The lens is light weight-sharp and fast. I know it is plastic but so what. I didn't expect to get a Canon L for $74. The build is not a issue here. The issue is it takes great photos and did I say SHARP?
Those who worry about dropping it should worry. I worry about dropping all my lenses. But if I drop this one and it breaks, I will buy the Classic Plastic lens again for $74.
The point is, you will have a hard time finding a lens this sharp-this cheap. I have Canon L lenses, but they are just a little sharper than the Plastic II. Why waste your money on the USM. Buy this one and if you break it, you have and excuse to buy a new lens! Great lens. NOW GO GET ONE!

Review Date: Jan 18, 2009 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $140.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Rock solid-latral arm good for macro shots-easy and fast to set up-foam wrap on legs help when cold or hot weather.
Cons:
A little heavy

I have two tripods a small carbon fiber for times when I don't need a large lens or for indoor use. But I find the 3021B PRO to be my favorite and most desirable. Yes it is a little heavy, but that is what I like about it. Hang the camera bag on it and even on a windy day it want move. I can't imagine using anything else when taking macro shots. Add a Foba Super Ball and you have a wining combo!

Review Date: Jan 18, 2009 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $670.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Sharp-light weight-not expensive-Great for wide shots-build quality is vey good
Cons:
none

I have had this lens for two years and have never be dissappointed with the results. When I have had less than good results, it has been the guy behind the camera not the lens. It seems better stopped down one stop. I have used it for landscapes and indoor shots and have always been pleased. Great lens! BUY IT!

Pros: Light weightand fast focus. This lens is sharp!!!!!
Cons:
None

I really like this lens. It is easy to carry and the focus is fast when the light is good. If you need more light, boost the ISO. THAT SIMPLE!
