Having gotten into the Digital SLR world recently, I quickly outgrew the kit lens. The camera shop suggested an all-in-one option 28-300mm but I quickly became disenchanted with the image quality.
Once I made the jump, I went with this to complement my 70-200 f4L. What a difference. As I improve my skills, the pictures actually reflect that.
The IS is stellar indoors, in low-light and just happens to do outdoors and bright excellent. Overall, a great walk around.
