Pros:

Canon, 100 - 400 IS.
Very well built, feels good in the hand. Weight has a stabilizing effect (inertia).
Sharp and clean.

I know people are all over the map about the push-pull design withthis lens, but since it was made that way befoer they bought it how can they complain?
AF nails it virtually all the time. Razor sharp.
And a BLAST to use!
Can't wait to get to Klamath to get some shot of eagles and such!

Pros:

Great range, fairly fast focusing. Good contrast and resolution. Great price!

Cons:
|
Auto focus is loud. (no big deal)

I tied this at the store just to see how it focused compared to the 18-55 that I have. Fell in love and took it home, hasn't been off the camera yet
Close focusing is a big plus. Not quite macro, but it will have to do until I can get the Canon 100 macro.
This lens is much better than the Sigma I used to have, both in build quality and performance.
