Pros: Build, features, superb sensor
None of any real consequence

I got a 30D as a back up for my 1D MkII N andif I am not working then the 30D is my camera of choice. Everything about it is just great - I have no real complaints. The thing is that in a relatively compact camera you ahve all the features and quality you need to get soem great shots.

I pair my 30D body with the Sigma 18-200DC lens - ok I know that many of you purists out there will frown on such relatively cheap and cheerful glass but the fact of the matter is that its small and compact, has a great and most importantly a very useable zoom range. I can fit len and body in a tiny Lowepro Nova 1 bag with space for my Lumix FX01 compact and either a 580ex flash or Sigma 100mm f2.8 macro lens. I cannot even fit my 1D MkII N body in the Nova 1 bag.

For travelling around and when I am away for weekend, this set up is so cenvenient and easy to carry around - the only change I might make to it is to upgrade to the new Sigma 18-200 DC OS (stablised) lens that has just been announced

So in summary - 30D - a class act and the upgrades from the 20D are alot more than just cosmetic paper upgrades - for real photoghraphers these upgrades make a world of difference and make the 30D a much better all round camera
