Maybe I got a bad copy but comparing it to my Tamron 17-35 it comes up way short. Yes it's cheap but cheap doesn't help when the end result is extremely low quality images. If you want a lens to take on trips that you won't be heartbroken to lose or damage then you might want this one. Other than that I can't see any reason I would recommend this lens to anyone. It's not even as good as a canon 18-55 kit lens.
My advice would be STAY AWAY. It's cheap for a reason folks.
