I ended up buying the subject lens after reading the reviews on this board and I must say I was quite impressed. Some say it's a bit heavy but being able to bench press 400lbs once upon a time in the not so far past, lead me to believe I can deal with it during the course of an event.
I would highly recommend this lens to anyone who is or aspiring to be a professional photographer. The clarity is just awesome.
