Look here is the deal the 50D has for some reason received a bad rap. You just don't find positive reviews all the time, and that is just plane sad. I have never been disappointed with this camera. I pick it up before my 5DII msot of the time because I can garantee the IQ will meet by needs each and everytime. The AF is spot on, beats the hell out of my 5DII, and the ISO up to 3200 and even 6400 is awesome for this camera. Oddly enough some might say I am crazy but mine produces film like images, they just have a look that even the 5DII can not replicate.

I snapped this baby on my 70-200 2.8L and pulled the moon in for some great snaps. I had no loss of color and the sharpness was incredible. I can't wait to use on some local wildlife

I love this lens, it took me several months to track one down with the metal mount. To me this makes a huge difference and I should have this lens for a long time. The plastic mount version does not hold up and Canon might make a change to that lens due to cost and lower even its quality. I use this for portraits and the lens is outstanding. By 2 if you can find them!!!
