Being a newbie I needed a camera for shooting gymnastics indoors/lowlight. After a lot of research I decided to buy an xti and use the savings to buy this lens along with an 85 1.8, although I still wasn't sure this would be the best combo...maybe one of the IS lenses would be better? Now after reading the posts here I feel much more confident in my decision. First shoot will be Sat. I hope it arrives on time as I'm excited to try it! I'll post my first impressions afterwards.
