oof not great, no attempt made by canon to make the aperture rounded till 2.8, poor resolution at wider aperture levels and close distances

This lens didn't work from me, it has cured my L addiction. Besides the usual complains, I wasn't impressed by the oof areas. Tree lights, for example, would change shape in the oof areas based on the aperture selected in the range 1.2 to 2.8.

All that is said in this forum about this lens is true. In my opinion, better image quality that the pro - 2.8 zoom lens. Having owned it for sometime now, still impressed by the results.
