I bought a used copy of the lens from a fellow FM member and have pretty much fallen in love with it. Even in lower light and with my 300d, it still could do a decent job with sportsbike photos...definitely impressed with that! I found that with the 300d + battery grip, the balance is quite nice...I usually keep the tripod collar in my bag...this also lightens up the lens a little.
This week, I'm going to try it out at a local hockey arena and see how it performs there, but I fell confident that it will work great!
