Pros:

VR works well. Sharp at the right apertures between 70~200mm. Excellent with flash (shooting weddings, e.g. couple at altar or at reception).

Not very sharp at 300mm or just outside the 'right' apertures.

I do think a 10 rating for this lens is excessive. It is an excellent lens for the price, but it is not without flaws as a 10 rating would indicate. I did find it extremely sharp up to 200mm with flash.
