Great light gathering ability, super-light weight, price, sharp...
Cons:

None, everyone should probably own this lens

This lens is just great. The IQ is amazing, the 1.8 changes how you look at low light, and it's so light and inexpensive.

This was my first lens and was a great intro to wide angle photography for me, and was also excellent for sports, landscapes, portraits etc. I travel a lot and this lens has been amazing for travel, especially coupled with a 70-200.

Pros:

Cool wide angle effect, great for sports, architecture and landscape (if properly composed)
Cons:
No room for protective filter

This lens is great. The colors are fantastic the auto focus is actually pretty quick. I use this lens to shoot skiing and long exposure night sky shots. I love it. I just worry about the lack of a protective filter.

Pros:
Comfy, customizable interior, fits well anywhere including underseat in airplanes w/computer, fits decent amount of other stuff ie., jackets, water bottle etc...
Cons:
Elastic cords for tripod were worthless and no longer exist on mine.

I love this thing and it goes everywhere I do. Computer fits perfectly in back and seems very durable. The tripod setup with the elastic bands was horrible. I am trying to rig up an alternative w/carabiners.
