Pros: Super. Doesnīt let you down unless you are faster than the IS at slow shuttersspeeds. Sharp and crisp
Cons:
None so far.

Very handy on my 7D. Good for travel. Sharp and crisp.
Takes a little practice to understand the IS.
I never had lenses with IS.
Recomend this lens

I just like this lens. I had the 2.3 verion, which also was very good. But for me a bit too heavy

Pros: Sometimes very sharp
Cons:
Sometimes not so sharp.

This lens still surprises me. Sometimes it is very sharp, but sometimes I am not satisfied with the images it produces.
Good for trekking, when weight is an issue. But remember fast shutterspeed, tripod or enough light.

Review Date: Jul 21, 2008 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 9

Pros: Build quality. Ergonomics. Fast startup, writing and shooting
Cons:
Short battery life. Not so good high ISO value

I think I was lucky to get the camera so cheap.
To me the EOS 1D lies perfect in my hand. I can easyli hold it still compared to my EOS 10D. The interface is quiet similar to the Canon T90 which i allways wanted to be digital.
I now donīt want to go back to the EOS 10D, but perhaps I have to because of the low batterycapacity and the not so good high IS0 performance. I look forward to use it.
