Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM

Review Date: Jan 25, 2008 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 9

Pros: Nice colours, contrast and sharpness is pretty good. Light weight and very versatile for travel use. Flare resistance is decent too. Simply the only reason I kept my 20D.
none really, but if i must, probably the lack of weather seal and only a EF-S mount.

People say a picture says a thousand words. (I'll be realistic and say that I'm lazy to type. :P

Happy Shooting.

Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM

Review Date: Dec 28, 2007 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 9

Pros: 2.8, IS, focus is pretty fast.
Weight, size, minimum focus distance.

Decided to go ALL THE WAY, despite the cost and weight. The copy i have is sharp and i've being lugging it along for travels.

There are times i wish it was lighter, but looking at the pics, i forgive it immediately. Smile

Canon EF 300mm f/4L IS USM

Review Date: Jul 29, 2007 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $1,100.00 | Rating: 8

Pros: Light, Sharp most of the time, build in hood is N.I.C.E.!, short minimum focusing distance.
The IS seems to be not quite as effective as i had expected, coming from a 70-200 IS. The 300 f4 IS mechanism seems to be more jumpy and it's apparent when viewing through the view finder.

Poured through the reviews and the consensus on this lens is stella! I agree, most of the time, except on the IS. It is really quite flaky.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II

Review Date: Apr 11, 2007 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $2,340.00 | Rating: 9

Pros: Build, Shooting response, and sure footed AF
need 2 hands for almost all operations. quite a pain to review images with a 70-200 attached.

Came from a 20D, and MkIII certainly is attractive. But $$$ don't grow on trees here .....

So, taking into consideration the price/performance ratio, i got a used set with 18k actuations.

So far so good.
