Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM "A"

Review Date: Dec 10, 2012 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $900.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Sharp, High build quality, hood engages very nice, cap is awesome, fast, fast, and fast!!!

I love this lens, its sharp, and fast, wide open it is def. sharper than the other brand, the bokeh I would rate as a 9.5 out of 10 and I am fine with that.

Nikon 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D ED VR AF

Review Date: May 7, 2012 Recommend? no | Price paid: Not Indicated

Pros: Nothing
Pure garbage

Overpriced for a zoom lens, the VR works like crap and mine was very slow to focus and by the time it did the subject was long gone

Nikon 50mm f/1.4G AF-S Nikkor

Review Date: Jan 16, 2012 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 8

Pros: quiet and sharp at 2f
soft wide open, not what I expected, but focal length is pretty good

decent lens, I would think the 1.8 does the same, but cheaper

Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM

Review Date: Oct 22, 2009 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $1,049.00 | Rating: 9

Pros: Light, fast-focus, IS, High quality plastic, Quiet
Price, No tripod ring

Good performer, in terms of IQ the very same as the 100 2.8 version. Handhold ability is very good in good lighting. Build quality although mostly a plastic body, the feel and quality is very good. A light weight lens with excellent results. This is a great lens for people who don't use a tripod, although it can be used with a tripod like I use also.
