Pros:

Huge fine-art size images which are still managable in computer - Unbelievable speed and responsiveness - Supreme versatility in sports/wildlife venues as well as landscape and studio. Solid, rugged tank-like build quality (you could probably hammer nails with it) - Fantastic time-lapse features - Machine-gun shooting speed with high speed 2X crop mode.
|
|
Cons:
|
1/250 flash sync - encrypted white balance (shame on you nikon) - Noise a bit high in the 1600 and 3200 ISO's - extremely poor software support (Capture should be included)

What can I say - this is the holy grail of photographic excellence. I have a D70 which I used exclusively before my D2x and now when I use it it seems like its lethargic by comparison. I still love the D70 and use it right along side the D2x on most days, but the speed difference and response is truly night and day. The D70 still has the obvious advantages in weight, flash sync (1/500) and on-board flash but the D2x is truly a work of art and preferred tool whenever possible in any of my photographic adventures.

This Camera is everything and more of what is being said of it.
I just got the D2x this week shot over 200 images with it learning it and enjoying it, what a wonderful tool.

Have not had it long enough to say anything negative of it as yet, and I honestly don't think I will be able to. I am learning to many new things and this Camera is teaching me new things in Photography than I thought possible.
