Throws unfixable codes, CLOGS CLOGS CLOGS, and thats using it everyday. This will be our last Epson large format unfortunately (unless the 9600 or newer have better reps.

3 of our 4 7600's have now thrown codes that we can't clear. All have created clogs that we can't unclog, all are rendered useless. We are stuck using a Kodak dye sub for up to 8x10's and a Fuji PICTROstat for up to 11x17's. Gone are the days of printing 2'x3' and larger sizes. We have just discovered that our HP 44" will print on the Epson paper very nicely, but it still doesn't compare to the 7600's quality which is amazing to say the least.
I really want to say that we got a bad batch, b/c I have a hard time that Epson would release machines that would crash at the same time like these have. I'd still recommend that machine b/c of that reason above.

Stunning panaroma images

|
Cons:

Ransom the studio to pay the ink bill

Print quality on the Epson paper looks good but the studio staff prefers the Ilford pearl paper. We just received the 24" Ilford roll and I'll add another impression of the printer after we have been able to run that paper.
We opted for the dye system as opposed to the Ultra-chrome because of the color gamut range. Frankly the images from that printer rival anything I have seen from a print shop. Sorry I waited so long to buy it!

gorgeous prints, reliable.

makes my 4000 look like a toy, but it is not as fast and it is a big deal to change the photo black to mat black unlike the 4000 that has both installed at the same time.
