Pros:

Decent build, excellent sharpness, color and contrast.

Cons:

Front element is very easy to damage or get your fingers on.

I am surprised at others complaining about barrel distortion of this lens. The lens is DESIGNED to perform that way. It's a fisheye lens, in case you've all forgotten.
I was quite pleased with the results from this lens. The optics are outstanding, and the color saturation and contrast are excellent. I'd recommend this lens without a hesitation. Of course you have barrel distortion but remember this is a fisheye.
The front element is so big and unprotected it's very easy to get your fingers on it or scratch it, so I had to be very careful when using this lens.

Pros:

Only way to go wide on a 10D
|
|
Cons:

Barrel Distortion of course by design

I use the 15mm with ImageAlign from Grasshopper Software in NZ to get really wide architectural shots. The 15mm on the 10D is about the same as the 14mm on a full frame camera, and much less expensive, even including $200 for Imagealign. The nice thing about ImageAlign is it is WYSIWYG. No regrets on this purchase

Pros:

Incredibly sharp, relatively compact, can filter it with gells from the rear

Cons:

Significant barrel distortion ;)

This lens is surprsingly sharp, and shows essentially no optical flaws such as CA with my 1Ds. It is also a bunch of fun to play around with! While the fisheye effect can get over-played, interestingly if you compose with care you can often generate images that apear almost "normal" with no obvious barrel distortion.
As an aside, I also have played around with correcting the barrel distortion with the "Panotools" plug-in for PS. When done correctly, you end up with what is essentially a FOV equivalent to that from a 12.5mm rectilinear wide angle lens. Very cool!

Pros:

Extreme wide angle view. Great since image multiplier still makes this lens very wide angle.
|
|
Cons:
|
Need to use software(Imagealign) to remove fisheye appearance.
|
|
|
For those of us who don't have a full frame DSLR, this lens provides a good way to get those extreme wide angle shots. The Imagealign software does a great job of removing the curvature normally produced by this lens. When used with some cropping of the edges of the frame, a very wide angle image can be produced which does not resemble a fisheye image.

none that I can think of

sharper than the 14mm with little to no CA. Not your everyday lens, but a nice departure when used sparingly!
