Pros: weight, size, construction like all zeiss, and very addictive to use.
Cons:
not so sharp at f/2, bokeh not really impressive (planar design I think)

This lens is better than the FE55mm in terms of realistic rendering but for me not a keeper. Don't know why, but I found all native lenses for sony e-mount plain and flat with no many character. This is good one but not better than a canon 50mm f/1.4 with eos-nex adapter. I sold it, but i'm very perfectionist so if you are not, this is a good lens. If you want a lens that cost what you paid maybe this is not a good choice.

Pros: Beautiful colors with excellent sharp detail and micro contrast
Cons:

After shooting Olympus for some years (great product) I had the urge to return at some time to get another full frame camera. A couple of weeks ago I purchased the new Sony A7II with the Loxia 50mm f/2.0 lens and couldn't be more satisfied. I am old enough to remember the days when I carried a Konica 35mm film camera with a manual focus lens and now it is so great to have a similar experience again. What is great though about the Sony A7II is the fact that when one slightly turns the focus ring on the lens the image is automatically magnified making focusing fast and pin accurate. The colors and contrast from the lens "I think" is something special but I never had a Zeiss Planer lens before. The images this lens produces are also stunningly sharp. The quality of this lens is top notch and equal to a Leica R lens I once owned. Hope to later upload a few samples.
