Description: from the top level of the Eiffel Tower. 1/2 second exposure, f2.8. All the lights moved in that time. Won't make a good print I'm afraid--too much motion.

Such a beautiful city to be in you lucky rascal.
Thanks for sharing what must have been unreal in the real.
The prints in the mind are sometimes the best guy.

Image which excites the imagination!
I am curious about the lights - you most probably have used a tripod, and yet the lights show movement. Then, the Tower must have been swinging. Smile

Thanks for the comments! Theodore, here's what happened. I was using this lens: 70-200mm 2.8 IS II. I hand held it but braced it tightly against the safety fence, resting it on a notched V formed by the really heavy chain link weaving of the fence. So, yes, it was a case of the tower swaying a bit in a pretty heavy wind. No tripods allowed up where I was. For my six days in Paris, this moment was the only hint of sun, and it lasted for a minute or two, so no chance to retake the shot on another day. Alas! But I've gotten other good stuff that I'll be posting ad nauseum. Smile

Jack, you have caught the fascination of Paris. One of the rare Paris photos without Eiffel Tower Smile

It may not be sharp, but it sure has the Paris feel.
