The type of processing you have used (probably Tone Mapping) is very suitable for this image.

Not tone mapping, at least not of automatic sort, (I've not gotten good results the few times I've tried it), but luminosity masks on both levels and curves layers. Maybe this is a kind of tone mapping, but there is no "process" button to press, just layers/channels to play with. I purposely chose the bicycle series to practice on--a few more to come, I'm afraid.

As others has stated, it looks a bit like tonemapped (but tastefully). I like your pp work here.
