Thanks for the kind words! Twigs, this one was shot in Sand Hollow State Park just outside St. George, Utah. I had to drive a four-wheeler through lots of dunes to find a spot without tire tracks because it is an ATV park. I'd never seen sand dunes so red/orange before, so it was quite a treat for me to shoot there. More images coming in the next few days.

Love the detailed layer of the rocks and of course the different colors.

As Hans I also have a little problem with the scale but it makes the photo more interesting. Colours and textures are really amazing. Your travelogue sounds very interesting, like a little adventure.
