Description: It's been a long time... since I participated in here. There is lot to catch up Wink

In this panorama you can see 180 degrees of view from the top of a certain hill. This panorama contains 5 horizontal shots taken at 17mm wide. 30 seconds at f4.5 ISO 1250. I took this in 12th of March, just before midnight. There were giant eruption in the sun that made fantastic auroras. I was shooting these until 4am Smile!

At the same time Jupiter and Venus were brightly visible, you can see those just above the city lights.

************

I had my first mogul competitions after nearly two year break. First two europa cups were in Sudelfeld, Germany. Then two in Laajavuori, Finland. And few weeks ago were Finnish nationals.

There is no words to describe that feeling - After all those difficulties, I was competing again! Smile First three competetions weren't so good (by results), but feeling was amazing. Then I got my "race head" back and I was 5th in the second europa cup competition in Laajavuori Smile Then I knew I can still do this at 100% level Smile

I had long training session after those competitions and prepared for the Finnish nationals. That was the last competition of this season and skiing was great. I did great run, but had some problems with the second jump and was 4th. Without those mistakes I could have been second... Anyway, comeback to competitions was great and I feel really happy. I proved to myself that I can still do this.

After some training I can fix those random mistakes and get more self confidence to push my limits further Wink

Harri, I am very happy to learn that the reasons for your absence from FM Galleries were the ski competitions and that you have gotten a lot of satisfaction from them.
The pano is gorgeous! Only such a pano can do justice to such an aurora.
Thank you for your comments on my recent photos!

Love the pano because it is the best size for showing the Aurora and there is some foreground in.
You sure are one of the tough guys, Harri. Congrats to all that success.

Sorry I'm late with my welcome back, Harri. I'm really glad you found your way back here because that means I'll be able to enjoy more of your wonderful work, of which this incredible image is a fine example. Also, congratulations on such a successful comeback on the snow. It couldn't have been easy for you, I'm sure.

Harri, that looks like a religious experience. I can't image the whole sky...in a 180 degree view being filled with such wonder. Beautifully shot...the perspective from that "hill" is as rare as the amazing lights.
