Description: Near the Pont du Gard (the ancient Roman aqueduct bridge that crosses the Gard River in southern France), there are three very old olive trees (2 of them in this photo). The three are each over a thousand years old. One of them (I think it is the closest one in the photo) was planted in the year 938, in Spain, and later was transplanted where it lives now. It still bears fruit Smile The two other trees are believed to be contemporaries.

A lovely image! The spacing creates great depth, and the olive branch canopy forms a beautiful top border. This is really fine work.

An excellent candidate for black and white. Your careful conversion and your great eye for composition makes this a stunner just like so many others before.
