Jack and Harri, or anybody who would like to respond---------------of course a bit of tinting, and a little contrast, darkening and lighting of sky/gound--then cropped. Struggling to find ratio that i want to use. Had a 1:2.7 and it was a 10" x 27" which is a bit large for a 12 mb file plus long in physical sense(makes for 16" x 32" frame) This is what I had been using and very cumberesome--think I'll change over to a 1:3 and 8" x 24" which means I can split a 17" roll and not use full 17" width on 10", and stop increaing that 18" native size to 27'. Yeah i know--get a Canon and go 24mb --not
Prairie and the Sea with a lot of sky overhead and/or foreground need to be narrowed down to really see what's happening. What's your take--any of ya out there --ron s.

Ron, I don't print any larger than 13x19 myself. Larger than that I have to send to a lab. So I don't know much about economical use of paper by splitting and such. It seems to me that this would make a wonderful large print. I'd love to see it. The tones are dead on to my eyes.

I like the mood you've achieved with this, Ron.

And thanks for asking. I send all of my prints to print firm, I don't do prints by myself. I've have a great deal with one print firm that can do allmost any size I need. I've adjusted all of the sizes to fit print rolls close as possible they have and keeping the sizes simple to my customers.

I had that 1:2,7 ratio with my earlier panoramas too, but changed to 3:1 to simplify print dimensions and making it a bit wider. I also have 1:1 pictures and all the rest are with 3:2 ratio.
