Description: Had to go back for the archives, this pic is from the trip when I hiked to the top of the fjeld. It was quite unique place, no signs of human tracks and nature was beautiful in this light.

Very cool Harri. Looks very cold and quiet. See it starting to get warmer there?

Very original look at winter, at least from where I'm sitting, here in the SoCal sun.

Harri, this is a very delicate image, and looking at it, one forgets that it must have been very cold when you took it.

Wayne and Ron, Many thanks for the kind feedback! Smile Ron, I walked to top of this fjeld. It took three days to make a path to the top, there was about 1m of snow all around Smile Too much soft snow for snowshoes to carry me and too steep slopes for snowmobile or skis.

Harri, At the present time I'm still in the northwest part of the U.S. and seeing plenty of Pacific Ocean and the Olympic Mountains.------after your explaination----I proceeded to think of the last time I spent 3 days lining up an image or just plain getting there to take that image and I cannot, nor do I believe I have ever done that. I think of Curtis, also the civil war/early western explorer photographers, and then Adams with his van prowling for days to find that image------and one is never sure an image will come together more than a snapshot---this one did--to favs
Ya da man Harri, Ya are da man-----Well played-------ron s.

Ron, your thought means a world to me, thank you so much!! It was quite extreme trip in mid winter and temps were pretty low too (-25C)... After this trip I was more than tired, but very happy that I did it! I'm also grateful that my cam did work the whole time and didn't froze or fail Smile

Wow, Ron, that is really something special. If you can't get passionate about shooting that kind of stuff, life is over. Thanks for the link, and thanks again to Harri for bringing this beauty into our lives.

Thanks for the link Ron. Yep, that video explains why I'm so excited about the night sky Smile And it's hard to stop shooting to go back to sleep, if sky show keeps going Wink Everytime I see good auroras, I'm very excited Wink

Thank you Santiago!
