Description: Young pine tree reaching up the heights. Midnight in north of Finland.
canon 7d - 24-70mm f2.8L @ 60mm - f10 - 1/80s - iso1000.

I'm having some mysterious problems with the digital photo professional, if I open 7D raw image it crashes but not when I open 40D or 400D raw images... problem occurs under win 7 64bit but not in 32 bit version... does anybody have similiar problems?

Can't help with your DPP problem (don't have Canon) but I can approve that this is an extraordinary image.

Don't have Win 7. On Vista DPP works perfect. Right into the sun at midnight, incredible, Harri.

Wayne, Dirk and Hans; I'm very grateful of your feedback.
I found out that the DPP problem was memory, motherboard or incorrect bios settings.

Great backlighting Harri. You are very lucky having sunsets that last for hours (if not days)...

Thank you Bernie!
Yeah sure, our sunsets lasts from may to august Smile! Just kidding, sunset -> sunrise can last easily from 9pm to 3am. It really depends if you are in the north or in the south. In the north there is no night at this time of summer (sun stays high above horizon) and in the south there is a real "night". Few weeks back, during the hiking I took pics after midnight without problems - there was plenty of light.
