Description: The vineyards of Lavaux, as seen from the village of Grandvaux. Looking down on the village of Lutry, by the lake, and the Rhône valley in the distance, leading to canton of Valais (and more vineyards Smile).

A great vista! Perfect positioning -getting the vinefield to draw the eye in and down to the village by the lake and the surrounding mountains. If I remember correctly, the furthermost mountain usually has a row of teeth as its peak. Would love to see this scene as well with clear blue skies.

It must be so relaxing to get there and show us the beauty. Thanks for the inspiration!

Almost shocking to see a colour image Wink. I like the POV (what are you standing on to get above the vines?) and depth of field. I am envious of your beautiful shooting locations... Thanks for posting- we can all imagine we are there too Smile.

Hi Amigo, Parece de cuento de hadas este pueblecito, por desgracia en España estas escenas son cada vez menos frecuentes, la corrupcion de los ayuntamientos esta destrozando todo el litoral, Gracias por compartir esta preciosa imagen.

Thank you all, friends, for sharing your comments. Much appreciated !
Erin, every plot is surrounded by a lower wall made of concrete or, still in many cases, of stones; I was standing on one such wall.
Fernando, yes it looks as a fairy tale village. As long as the Lavaux remains a UNESCO world heritage site, such villages will remain.

Santiago, I missed this posting. Absolutely beautiful. Hopefully the wine does justice to your photo. ... Bob

Thank you, Bob. The wine is usually up to the task, but this year, with so much rain puts that into question...
Best,
