Was this with a D60 or 1DS?

terrific. the grey/gold colors and the reflected light on the rocks really work for me. The composition leads the eye perfectly.

Fred,
Great shot. Just got my 10D and am strugling through on how to use it. Is this picture straight from the camera? I got Sigma lenses with my camera two came in a packaged deal.
You mention preset White Index. What do you mean by that?

I've always loved this shot Fred. Unique, and only to be imitated as all the greats are.

Hi Tbear, that means that I set the 10D to customWB and sampled it from a Kodak gray card. Thanks for your comments Smile

Fred, beautiful shot... as usual. I was there earlier in the spring and the mist trail was closed. I took some shots of Vernal from the top and from the John Muir trail but it looks like I'm going to have to visit again soon to get on the mist trail.

Hi Fred, I am looking forward to take some shots with my new 10D. You are a great insporation. I am using my lens from my EOS 500. A EF20-35 Ultrasonic and a 75-300mm ultrasonic with image stabilizer. Are they a good match.

Fred, Nice shot indeed. But the conifers look gold. They are usually green?

Fred,

To custom WB, should I sampled from gray card or form pure "white" card?

Thanks

Looks to me like the sun is shinning through them, giving them a natural gold cast fotoasart.
