It's an actual squirrel monkey skeleton, jr -- at least in the foreground. And it is used for comparative anatomy for anthropological purposes. The background consists of plaster casts of skulls.

Since Homo Sapiens is supposed to be the only species with opposable thumbs, I'm not sure about that rhyder. It sure looks like it, but I'm not an expert in the area.... I'm sure the ability requires subtle anatomical modifications.... Thanks for stopping by.
