It's always a mystery to me how an image can be so subltle in tone yet demandingly powerful with and "isolated" subject.
This has both to me....Love that just visible tree R1/3
Has your name on it Fred.

Thanks for the comments! This was the best Yomesite sunrise I have ever had. It was a clearing storm (snow) day. Lots of mist, smoke and amazing cloud formations. Will post some more with the same mood.

Mmmmhhh... just a touch too big in the frame to suggest isolation, but I see the branches talking about it.
Other than that, the light is incredible, and you have bagged another amazing moment with your camera.
Well done!

Oh Man! I had taken some similar shots on Friday when it was snowing in Yosemite and I had thought they looked so cool, that is until I saw the morning light that your photo has... Last Thurs/Fri/Sat had everything one could ask for when it comes to snow in Yosemite... that is except that morning light you captured! Good shot!

Terrific photograph. A testimony, through the vanishing mist, of what happened merely minutes before or, watching the dead tree, of much, much earlier events.
Thanks for sharing. I have been enjoying your gallery tremendously.

This is not only a tree... but the whole surrounding world is described by it.
