Thanks brbriggs,
Is that where you are from?
I would love to go there some day. From the looks of your gallery, it seems like an amazing place.

Regards,
Fred

FM:
Originally South Africa. Now Illinois. I return frequently for photo vacations. The Namib desert is truly amazing and a real challenge for photographers. It is difficult to capture the colors as seen by the eye. This may change with digital cameras. It would be interesting to see what you can do with the 1Ds while being careful to avoid getting desert sand in the camera and lens mechanisms! It is hard on cameras.

Brian

Not sure what accounts for the trail...
but this rolling stone will surely gather
no moss.. couldn't help but make the
connection Smile It's a rare shot well executed.

Nice shot Fred, a few things I just don't understand about it but that's what's so captivating. Well done.

Amazing, of all the walking rock photos I've seen, including my own from D.V. Racetrack I think this says it best!

Fred, I'm new on the forum and I simply love the desert. This photo is amazing, congratulations. Which desert is this? Mojave? What time of the year was? Thanks

I love this shot! Actually I like all of your pics. Hopefully with enough practice I can get half as good as you.
