On
this site you will find a variety of Photoshop actions
primarily designed for print work. However, due to the
growing number of photographers presenting their resized
work on the web, FM Frames-PRO was created.
For
the past few months, the members of the FM forum have been
asking me to create a Photoshop action that would easily
add custom made frames and mattes to their images for quick
and easy display online. Well, I am happy to announce that
the action is now ready for release.
It
works with any image orientation (Portrait or Landscape),
including severely cropped images and panoramas.
The only thing you need to do, is choose your custom colors
for matte and frame and then sit back and let the action
do the rest. Within 5 seconds you'll have a custom frame
that is worthy of enhancing your artwork.

How
does it work?
The
FM Frames-Pro actions are very intuitive and easy to use.
Here's how:
Frame
only actions: Choose
a foreground color before running these actions. In the above
example, I selected green as the foreground color. So when
running the action, I get a green frame. Note: There is no
need to set a background color for frame only actions.
Matte
only actions: Choose
a foreground color before running these actions. In the above
example, I selected green as the foreground color. So when
running the action, the end result is a green matte. There
is no need to set a background color for matte only actions.
Frame & Matte
combination actions: Choose
a foreground and background color before running these actions.
The foreground color will be the color of the matte and the
background color will be the color of the frame. In the above
example the green foreground will be the matte color and
the frame color will be yellow.

The above examples
are just a quick sample of what this action can do. There
is a tremendous number of possibilities and combinations
that you can experiment with FM Frames-Pro. Just make sure
you don't forget to set up your foreground, and/or background
BEFORE running the actions.
FM
