I took the Nex-7 and Touit 12mm out with me the other day, since that's the best 18mm-equivalent setup I've got currently. I didn't end up taking many pictures with it, but I was very happy with this lens on the camera before my A7 showed up and stole all my attention. . .

Sebboh,

Beautiful imagery...the folks over at N&W would also agree...

That 350 is very "crisp".

thanks taylor, ronny, and edd!

edd the 350 is definitely very crisp with beautiful color, but i'm having much more difficulty handholding it on the 5n than i did on the nex-7 and my images are all suffering a bit from motion blur or too high an iso (or both).

i used to post over on N&W a bit, but i like the thread format here much better and do a lot less birding than i used too due to lack of time.

a few bonus shots with the same lens (mostly crossposts):

also a hummer in better light with the rokkor 400/5.6 APO:

Sebboh,

Very nice; I hear you on using the 5n with long glass, and I'll try to get some during/after storm shots with my long L glass with our next Nor'easter on the way in. The beaver shot is a classic; they are way-too active in my woodlands....

Happy New Year!

Unsure about this one. Does it work or not?

Hello dear FM photographers and fellow Nex'ers,

I've lurked here for quite some time already, but I've never posted anything before. I come here daily to see new Nex-pictures and some other threads - FM being one source of inspiration with all the usual posters.

Today I would like to introduce my new photo blog Year of the Alpha Ė 365 Days of Sony Alpha Photography, which I am starting today 1st of Jan. Idea of this photo blog is to share every day a new photograph taken with Sony Alpha camera system and a small diary like description go with it. For me this photo blog will work as a canvas for my photographic development, but I sincerely hope that it will also serve as source of inspiration for other Nex-photographers here too.

You can read more about my blog here: http://www.yearofthealpha.com

I'll post on this thread daily, providing also the link to the blog - and keeping this Nex-thread alive while others jump to A7s . I hope this is right thread for daily posting. If you want I can make my own thread for this, but while I shoot with Nex-5N, I thought it might add most in this thread. I hope my posts will add some positive vibes & photographic inspiration for this thread, which Iíve come to read daily after I bought my 5N year and half ago.

And here is my photo for day one (not sure if I linked it rightly, if not can some assist me a bit?):

Seeking new angles

"I don't know where this photo blog will take me, but I do know it gives me new kind approach to photography where I canít just take photographs Ė I also have to learn to make them. I want to find new angles for my photography and develop my photographic eye to see things differently. To have a little bit structure in my photo blog, Iíve decided to divide it to 5 seasons, which all carry an individual abstract theme. My first season is about blackness (first 73 days). It can mean all sorts of things, but in practice Iíd like to think Iím trying to find different ways of using black in photography. Itís my first love in photography and itís what I want to do right now."

Good luck, Kalainen. Should be an interesting project.

I've also been a long time "lurker"; Nex-7 and a variety of lenses used over the last year or so.

When I recently looked into uploading some images there seemed to be just two methods; using "Upload and Sell" or from a website.

I'm not the least interested in selling and I don't have a website, so I guess that precludes me from participating.

Any other ideas?
