Interesting comments on using the Leica M 24 Elmar with the Nex7. Has anyone compared it with the much cheaper Zeiss ZM 25/2.8?

Phillip, love the feather-shot and last one on the previous page. Exquisite.

Here are some random postcards to all you inspiring FM-members from a few vacation days on Gotland. City wall from Visby. Voigtländer 15/4.5 on NEX 5N.

Yeesh, what horrible timing, that is a tough post to follow Phillip.

Just a humble prickly pear bloom, with the 16-50 on the NEX6, trying to get a sense of how the lens performs. I love the DR of the camera, but I feel the lenses leave a little something to be desired in less than very good light. Also, learning Gimp, so, not the best conversion maybe.

snapsy -- nice landscapes with those zooms

Meanwhile back in town away from the beautiful landscapes here is an alley shot taken with Nex 5n and CV21 f/4. I like this lens more every time I use it.

It is a first generation AG lens, so build quality is great but the focus ring is quite small but it is okay to handle. i think about getting a LA-EA2 so i could use AF.
An annoying detail about the adapter is, that the camera operates the lens wide open and only stops down the moment when i release the shutter. Stopping down is rather noisy and i experience a shutterlag.

Phillip if you only wanted to manual focus, you could also get a cheap third-party alpha-mount/NEX adapter, which would mechanically control the aperture. Then it would operate stopped down with no lag. Of course, you'd lose click stops and EXIF.
